WH (Heeres) 'Kavallerie o. Aufklärungs' shoulder boards
Category:
£245.00
A neatly 'cyphered' and actually quite rarely foundb WH (Heeres) 'Kavallerie o. Aufklärungs' related shoulder boards piped in the golden yellow ('goldgelbener') branch colour and was intended for use by a 'Hauptmann u. Mitglied des Kavallerie-Aufklärungs-Abteilungs 20' (or Army captain who served within the cavalry reconnaissance unit number 20).
Comes in an overall nice and issued and carefully tunic removed condition. The truly attractive shoulder boards are in the somewhat shiny upper decks. The boards are constructed from the typical smooth-type wool. The boards never had any tongues attached and were clearly intended for usage as a pair of 'sew-in' pattern.
The boards measure approximately 10 cms in length each and show a (fully matching) pair of larger sized Gothic-style 'Buntmetall A' cyphers ('Ziffern') and a matching set of smaller sized and 'Buntmetall' based '20' numerals and a two pairs of larger pips for rank of 'Hauptmann'/Captain.
