This is an attractive and carefully cap removed, detailed and actually not that easily encountered hand embroidered Kriegsmarine officers pattern visor or side cap eagle (Adler für Schirmmütze oder Schiffschen) that comes mounted onto a black wool coloured woolen based background and that comes in an overall nice condition.
This is a high quality produced example and is executed in gilt braid with black thread highlights.
The eagle shows some age and wear and has an approximate wingspan of 6.7 cm.
