Bar to the WWI Iron Cross second-class ('Wiederholungsspange zum EK II. Klasse')
This is an issued and worn award that was attached to the tunic of the service uniform through the second button hole. The award was made during WW2 to those recipients who had been awarded the Iron Cross 2nd class during WW1, thus the bar in the form of an eagle was awarded for a subsequent award of the EK 2.
The ribbon has some surface wear and the eagle has patination. Has two prongs to the reverse remaining and the eagle has been sewn to the ribbon where the prongs are missing.
